unknown sex(watching dog's behavior
first)..appears blind or partially
blind(dog does have naturally blue eyes)
but has haze over eyes and may possibly
be deaf as well..or may be just
exhausted.Either weak from hunger or may
have hip or balance issues but appears
emaciated ... Thick red and white coat
may hide a very thin dog..he or she
could have been on the road a long
time.nails trimmed or short. Has poss.
superficial wounds to face (or hot
spots? Rub marks from fence or? one spot
could even be bullet wound..(.will check
w vet asap.) This big handsome dog ate
and drank tonight. Found dog just curled
up on lawn up long driveway...definite
mark where collar was. Seems very lost
and sweet...strikingly handsome
dog...needs TLC and his people to come
and bring him home...My feeling is that
this dog has been gone for weeks or even
months from home.But may have other
health issues or just be older.Please
help this dog live out his days with his
real family..or if that is not
possible,then with one who will love and
treasure him( or her)...I already have 5
rescue dogs and am handicapped.This dog
needs a happy ending. |

It is a medium size female(at
least I think so..) Black & brown
dog
2 brown spots above eyes
Silky hair
no collar
thick tail
brown on all legs I think
SUPER FRIENDLY!!!!!
She looks kind of like a miniature Australian shepard/border collie mix??
The dog is at our house for the time being as I dont want to take her to a shelter if I dont have to and I can find the owner in the next couple days. Looks to be about 2 years old??
Not sure.
This dog is SO SO SO sweet!!! She HAS to be someones loved family pet as she has an awesome demeanor ! DEFINATELY NOT hyper...very calm.
Call if you know anyone who has
a dog like this or if its your dog
obviously. I can't believe
someone is not missing her! I will
bring her tomorrow in the
morning to a vet to check for
microchip.
Basic descrip again:
Mixed breed mostly black with upper chest and
brown legs , chest and 2 brown spots
above the eyes.
UPDATE: Brought the dog to the vet Sunday morning and she unfortunately is NOT Microchipped (UGH!) I would of loved to of had it be that easy to of found it and call her family. |

brown pathes on snout and legs.
I would guess a Springer
Spaniel, but could be wrong. He
has a cropped tail. His left eye is
either very infected or missing.
He has a colar that was bright
orange, but very faded, there are
hooks for tags, but are missing.
He is VERY friendly and loving.
He is traveling with a Basset
Hound, also with no tags, don't
know whether they found each
other or started out together. |

Hound. He is primarily black with
a white streak on his back and
brown and white on his face/neck
and legs. He is not wearing a
collar, He is VERY affectionate
and docile. He is traveling with
another dog that I am guessing is

appear to be good friends. I'm

Wearing a chain collar. Not sure there
was identification attached. May have
discovered i.d. once at Humane Society.
Scared, Running and confused. Frozen
from very cold temps. Lost and needing
rescue from cold/feet raw from cold.
Appeared thin. Hope dog was not
abandoned or left to survive outside in
the cold and left to find shelter
somewhere. Rescued with help of another
person who brought dog to Humane Society
of Golden Valley, Minnesota 763-522-4325.
I believe the dog was a female because she squatted to pee; also she had mix of black and more beige tones rather than tan. I chose large (50-110 lbs) but due to her thin appearance she may have actually weighed in under that, do medium sized German Shepherd may be a better description. She had a larger head and snout but thinner sleek body. This is the best I can offer due to the time I actually was able to view her in our possession as someone else helped me capture her on the highway. Hope any details will help to reunite a concerned family member. |

From what the HS told us when we brought her in to get checked for a chip was that she looks like a Golden Ret. / Cocker Sp. mix. Very rare but pretty. This is a very friendly dog who listens well and very relaxed. Great with

This is an older dog. He
was found by the river
and impounded in
Minneapolis. My friend
and I took him in Sept. 14, 2006 as a foster until we can locate his owner or a
great permanent home. He is
well-behaved, well-socialized and knows many
basic commands. He is an
AWESOME dog!! I am not
sure how old he is, but if
I had to guess I would
say about 7-8 years, as I
have a doberman of
similar age. Also, please note the "date found" is only an estimate. All we know is that he was in the pound for at least a month (yes, they held him that long so he is a very lucky boy!), so he could have been roaming around longer before being picked up. If you are out there, please know that we will take very good care of him and make every effort to find you or give him the best home a dog could ever have!! |
