Our sweet and caring daughter
let our dog out on Tuesday
August 12, about 3pm. She got
sidetracked and remembered him
about 4pm. (It started to rain
really hard.) He was gone. She is
guilt-ridden.
His name is Weatherby. He is
three-four years old. He has a
dark green fabric collar AND a
vinyl black sports collar-(looks like
a shock collar). He is about 80
pounds. He is fixed. He is tall
with a soft reddish-yellow
shorthaired coat with no
undercoat.(So, he can not live
outside.) He has one small patch
on his back, between his
shoulders, where the hair is
noticably more coarse than the
rest of his coat. He LOOKS
SKINNY(ribs show-but won't eat
more). I just treated him on
Sunday with Frontline, so there
may still be a noticeable "oily"
streak down his back. He had to
have one of his back teeth
removed last year. He has a mole
or something like that above one
eye that most people think is a
tick. He also has a small bump
on his back-maybe a mole. He
doesn't like it when people touch
and poke at it.
Weatherby has beautiful soft
(short) red eyelashes.
We think he is a LARGE
Hungarian Veszla, maybe with a
lab mix? He needs meds for his
hips. He also gets meds for
allergies and anxiety as needed.
His hip bothers him after he is on
it for a while and he will limp. He
is also due next week to have his
nails trimmed.
When left alone he will cry and
lick his kennel so-much-so we
have added a boot tray for the
slobbber to drip into (or we end
up with a pond on the floor). He
LOVES to chew; however, has
not had a record of chewing
anything by his chew toys, kong
and rawhides. He prefers to only
eat in the early evening. He
loves ICE CUBES! He LOVES to
give chase to squirrels. He will
chase cats; however, when
told, "NO CHASE" he will submit.
We live near a lake, and he loves
to play in the water and try to
catch fish. He also loves to
get "treats" from the kitty's litter
box. YUCK! He also likes to dig in
the yard. And he LOVES Izabella
(our German Shorthair pointer).
He has his own sofa, so he may
try to get up on furniture. He also
sleeps on our son's bed with him.
He is very kind and gentle-UNTIL
he gets excited-then he will jump-
up, lick, and wag his tail so hard
it hurts when it hits you(we were
thinking he may need to have a
permit to have a dangerous
weapon like that). He is a very
happy and good spirited dog.
Before we got his current kennel,
he literally scratched his way
through a door. He can be
destructive-however, when the
right accommodations are made,
there isn't a problem.
We are certain if he could get
back home, he would. He will get
into cars-he thinks he can drive
and loves to ride with his nose in
the wind.
He does have a micro chip.
Please know, he wasn't
abandoned, and he IS wanted
and loved very much.

than curly. is actually a Yorkie-Poo (toy poodle, yorkie). brown eyes, less than
15 lbs, under 12 inches tall. needs to eat SPECIAL PRESCRIPTION FOOD from vet to prevent bladder crystals from forming. Can't eat any dairy products at all. likes
to run and chase squirrels and
birds, his ears will fly out behind
him when he runs. usually
friendly but is scared and was
running, hard to get near. in an
unfamiliar area. he likes his treats
and his toys, he is an indoor dog,
a lap-dog, a spoiled boy that
sleeps in bed with his "mom".
likes to cuddle. he likes to look
out the windows and lay on the
chairs and couch, would bark at
other dogs going by our house.
he was lost in May while we were visitng family in Clarissa, it's about 150 miles NW of Minneapolis... but I am still praying and so
hopeful someone has caught
him, or has him and might not
want to give him up or maybe
have even just seen him. He is
SO LOVED and MISSED by us
here at home in Milwaukee, my arms are empty. I
have had him since he was a
baby. PLEASE PLEASE let me
know if you know anything! |

he was by the airport- south of
Clarissa- that is 2.5 miles south
of Clarissa near highway 71, he
was on east side of road by creek
and cattle field, very hilly and
wooded... across the road from a
turkey farm. He was also seen
on/near highway just to the north
of airport, I think it was highway
20 or 21, going east from
highway 71. he may be anywhere, he was doing some traveling when we saw him last near the end of May, he was scared. But we couldn't get close enough to catch him.
